Ion Gonzaga is among the 100 Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf in 2015 and 2016.


He started BoyDubai.com in 2011 to share his experiences about living in Dubai - what to eat, where to go, what events to attend, how tos, and some guidelines on surviving the challenges of working in the emirates.

A year after, he was selected as the UAE representative for World Bloggers Day. He delivered a talk at Geekfest Conference about the power and influence of blogging.

He was also an active volunteer at Dubai Twestival and a participant at the global Blog Action Day.

His opinions on timely social issues have been also featured in major publications in UAE like Gulf News, The National, The Filipino Times, Kabayan Weekly and Sport 360.

He was featured in an interview with Dubai OFW, one of the world's best blog about overseas Filipinos.

Ion, a pioneer member of PEBA, originally designed the Pinoy Expats Blog Awards logo and was once among the panel of judges which also included Jim Paredes and OFW-advocate Susan Ople.


His growing following on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram makes him one of the most sought-after digital influencer that brands collaborate with in the UAE

He was once a brand ambassador for Ping Pong Dim Sum restaurant. He's also chosen as ambassador for Samsung Galaxy Tab, LG 3D mobile and recently Huawei P8.

His blog got nominated in du Social Media Awards 2013 and recently, Ahlan Awards 2015.

Last year, he started another blog that he expects to have an impact among Filipino dads in Dubai - Dadedidubai.com tells stories about the challenges of raising kids in Dubai, from a dad's perspective.

Ion also writes an article monthly for the On The Prowl column of Illustrado magazine.

He is also a scriptwriter for radio commercials in the UAE.

He teaches Blogging as a volunteer teacher at Kabayan Institute Dubai.

Being close to sports, Ion recently got invited to write for Manny Pacquiao's newly launched sports magazine, PUNCH.
